The Chef’s Room is one of our four Private Dining Rooms. It holds up to 20 guests for a seated dinner and requires a minimum to reserve. If you are interested in reserving the space, please contact Jenna Musil at 312.427.3170 ext. 216 or email

Due to schedules and peak service time, our managers are rarely at their desk. Please allow up to 48 hours for a return phone call.

The Berghoff Restaurant accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.

To help us locate your receipt quickly, please email and include the following information: Date of visit, card carrier, the last for digits of your account number, total check amount, and your preferred contact method.


We strive to keep our pricing both competitive and approachable. Due to this, we do not offer ‘comped’ meals to directors and/or drivers. However, with sufficient time and planning, we will never turn away reasonable requests and always try to work within an organizer’s budget.

Of course! We offer whole German Chocolate and Black Forest cakes (serves 10-12 guests @ $37.50) as well as whole Apple Strudel (serves 8 guests @ $24.95) for PRE-ORDER. Berghoff must be notified three business days prior to event date in order to guarantee your dessert.

Certainly! However, if an outside dessert is brought in, the restaurant must charge a $3.00 cake cutting fee per person. We offer a number of delicious homemade dessert options on our menu should you choose to order at the Berghoff.

Separate checks can be accommodated with adequate notification. A service charge of 20% will automatically be added to any group which requires more than one check.

Guests may order all items from our regular menu for regular menu price. We also offer a three course prix-fixe menu, available upon request, wherein you can choose from two appetizer options, three entrée options, and two dessert options. The prix-fixe menu is available for groups of 15-30 and must be arranged through a restaurant manager at least one week ahead of time.

Simply give us a call or email your Berghoff contact. We value good communication between prospective guests and ourselves.

Obtaining your credit card information is our standard requirement for securing large group reservations. The only reason your credit card would be charged is if your entire group did not show and the restaurant was not informed. 

A: Private dining reservations are for:

  • Groups larger than 30
  • Events that require private space
  • Events that require specialty menus, buffets, or cocktail receptions
