The city’s summerlong series of Friday night outdoor neighborhood beer festivals is returning for a third year.
Friday Night Flights kicks off May 31 just as it did last year: at Gallagher Way beside Wrigley Field, where beer will be poured from more than 30 Chicago breweries. It also ends the same as last year: Sept. 13 along the Chicago Riverwalk. The series is intended to highlight the craft breweries operating in different neighborhoods across the city. Craft beer lovers will again be in taste heaven at the Sheffield Beer Festival, taking place inside the grounds of the Sheffield Street Festival. For the 8th glorious year, the beer fest will return to the Lincoln Park/DePaul neighborhood with highlights including, afternoon tastings where visitors who purchase a tickets can sample from more than 70 specialty beers from over 35 local and national breweries.
Tasting ticket holders are also encouraged to savor the day after the tastings to enjoy the great music acts and more as Craft Beer Fest is again being held at the same footprint location as the iconic Sheffield Music Festival & Garden Walk that celebrates its 51st year in 2019.
