Prohibition Repeal Special

Apr 7, 2010, 5-7pm

In April 1933, Prohibition was repealed, and on April 7th 1933, the City of Chicago awarded our founder and namesake, Herman Berghoff, Liquor License No. 1 for his bar and No. 2 for his restaurant. The original licenses are proudly displayed in our bar today.

Come by the Berghoff Bar on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 from 5-7p.m. for a taste of our menu circa 1933. For just $7.77 enjoy a sandwich, pickle, hard-boiled egg, and foam-topped stein of the famous Berghoff draught beer. And unlike our 1933 men’s only bar, this time, the ladies are welcome too. Be there, and be a part of history.
