Anniversary of the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago

May 3-7, 2010

On May 1st, 1893, the Chicago World's Fair opened to the public. Although he couldn't get a license to sell his beer on the fairgrounds, our founder and namesake, Herman Berghoff, set up a stand outside the grounds and sold his beer to fairgoers throughout its six-month run. At today's Berghoff, we still sell three original Berghoff items sold at the time of the World's Fair in Chicago: Chili con Carne, Chocolate Brownies and Clam Chowder.

In honor of this anniversary, join us at the Berghoff Bar this Monday-Friday.

Purchase a pitcher and get a free order of Berghoff Nachos, topped with our delicious chili con carne!
